What is Fifteen?

Program Objectives

Core Values

Program Objectives:

Develop Leaders
Fifteen will establish the importance of leadership in today’s culture. Students will learn life skills and principles that foster leadership development. These include character, communication, competency, initiative, commitment to excellence, work ethic, life-long learning, and creativity. The students will learn through both theoretical and physical leadership models.

Promote Social Responsibility
Students will develop a sense of social responsibility through case studies, volunteerism, and involvement in social-justice initiatives. High school students are exposed to a variety of injustices within their own communities. Fifteen seeks to empower students to move from observers or victims of injustice to leaders with the ability to act and inspire change within their environments.

Foster Self-Awareness
Fifteen values uniqueness in students and will help students identify and understand their individual talents, strengths, weaknesses, thoughts, values, and perceptions. Students will identify areas of development and gain confidence in their beliefs and resolutions.

Build Positive Relationships
The participants of Fifteen will build positive relationships with both peers and professionals. They will learn communication skills, as well as build a network for support and encouragement. They will be matched with mentors to help guide their leadership development.

Create & Cast Vision
Fifteen is structured to inspire a shared vision among its students, who will in turn inspire vision in others. Through exposure to different environments and cultures, students will encounter various educational and career opportunities. They will develop a vision for their own life and set goals to achieve it.
